Network Specialist - 3 month contract - Ireland
Mandatory skills -
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role managing network requirements
- Configuration of Cisco Switches and Routers
- Configuration of Nortel Routers and Switches
- LAN/WAN technologies
- TCP/IP protocol
- Avaya and Nortel Telephony technologies
- Microsoft OS, Active Directory, DNS and TCP/IP
My client currently requires a Network Specialist to join their team for a 3 month contact. The successful applicant will be joining a team of 9 to provide support to the network and telephony environment of all customers in the Group. You will be required to resolve service issues and problems, ensure all hardware and software are up to date and implement new business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the group LAN & WAN Infrastructure
- Configure and Install Switch and Router equipment across group locations
- Diagnose and assist in resolving Network and Telephony related faults
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors
- Be available to work unsocial hours
- Proactively look at ways to improve the service
- Act as a liaison for networks
- Manage and distribute TCP/IP
- Assist in installing CAT5 and Fibre cabling
