Description
A Pharmaceutical company, located in Illinois, is in need of a Chemist who has a background in Protein Therapeutics. The company specializes in injectable drugs and aims to remain competitive within the market through new innovations. The Chemist will work within a group that is focused on the expanding products into new global markets.The Senior Chemist will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide support to bioanalytical research and development of protein therapeutics
- Method development and validation of HPLC
- Testing of impurity and reference standard characterization, drug product release and stability work, and gap analysis for analytical methods
- Laboratory work with HPLC, western blotting, peptide mapping and SDS PAGE
- Perform documentation for compliance
- Write and present SOPs and technical reports to line management
The Senior Chemist must meet the following requirements:
- B.S. Chemistry (MS or PhD preferred)
- Experience in method development and validation of HPLC
- Experience working directly in the Pharmaceutical industry
- Experience supporting or handling biopharmaceuticals
- Excellent communication skills
- Team oriented
- Attention to detail
