I currently have requirements for a number of Senior Mechanical Design Engineers who are looking to work on a Contract basis.Please find some information about the roles I have currently available below:
1. Lead Design Engineer/ Design Checker - Long lerm contract (12 months+) - you will need to be an Airbus signatory to be considered for this role, interviews are 1 stage with the engineering manager and they are looking to bring a contractor in at the start of April. You will ideally have experience within the Aerospace sector, however Automotive experience will also be considered.
2. Senior Piping Engineer - (6-12 months at least) - you will need to come from a strong mechanical background and have experience within waste/ clean water. Position is due to start between 8-15th April ideally so if you are currently opn a weeks notice you can still be considered.
3. Mechanical/ Project Engineer - Long term again (up to 3-4 years work for the right candidates) this client needs 2-3 strong Mechanical Engineers to assist them with projects which have been tendered for and are now coming to fruitition. You will need experience on Inventor and ideally have experience with gloveboxes. Other preferential experience would include nuclear, MOD projects, clean environments, food and drink or scietific backgrounds.
4. Design Team Leader - You will again need to come from a strong mechanical design background, piping experience is essential, with experience in the petrochemical sector being the clients preference. Other types of piping experience could be considered. The role involves leading a team of 4-5 draughtsmen, whilst also doing design work yourself. You will liase with clients on site, so experience of this would also be preferential.
The rate for these contracts range from £30-60ph, with higher rates being reserved for the most senior of candidates.
