Valve Design Engineer - West Yorkshire - £35,000 to £40,000

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Design Engineer to join this company at their location in West Yorkshire. Working with the latest technology you will be responsible for designing products for the Oil & Gas sector. This role will continue to evolve providing opportunity for progression for the right individual.

The new position is ideal for a motivated candidate with a desire to enhance their engineering skills within the engineering department. You will be a Design Engineer with excellent skills and technical problem solving capabilities.

Role duties

-The preparation of General Assembly and manufacturing drawings utilising CAD packages.
-The preparation of Bills of materials
-The preparation of installation, operational and maintenance manuals.
-The design and development of new and existing products to meet both industry and customer specific specifications typically to ASME Design codes.
-Assisting in day to day trouble shooting and problem solving with regard to product performance.
-The preparation of product factory test procedures.

Qualification and Experience

-Degree Educated (HNC/HND or above in a mechanical engineering discipline)
-Broad knowledge and experience in valve design.
-Excellent skills in working with 2D and 3D drawing packages, ideally Autodesk Inventor (3D) and Auto Cad (2D) but othe 3D Cad packages considered
-Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Experience of pressure vessel design is preferable but not essential
