Description
Responsibilities- Provides 24x7 DBA support for Production database
- Performs capacity planning for database storage
- Performs database backup and recovery
- Installs/upgrades database software and applies database patches
- Creates database objects and maintains the data models
- Administers and maintains the database security
- Implements Database Change Controls
- Resolves Database related issues
- Monitors and improves database performance
- Constructs Unix & Linux Shell Scripting as needed
- Provides SQL tuning advice to development team: E-business application DBA skills (in addition to the above core DBA tasks)
- Performs environment cloning from Prod to non-prod environments
- Applies application patches
- Upgrades E-business suite as needed
- Supports EBS application related components, eg Concurrent Manager, Forms, Reports, Java, Web and Discoverer
- Maintains and supports 10gAS Single Sign-on components
- Integrates and supports 10gAS SSO with external LDAP
- Implements application change control for Production code migration
- Performs system administrator duties within Oracle EBS suites, eg provision users, set up printers, set up system profile
SKILLS
Must know Unix AIX Linux Red Hat. Must know OIF/OAM. Must know Oracle HRMS EBS. Familiar with High availability (horizontal scaling) with application Servers. Four to six (4-6) years of experience with Oracle Database Management and Oracle DBA preferred.
