Description
Responsibilities- Tests software for a diagnostic laboratory system for processing assays. This position requires knowledge of clinical instrumentation as well as software testing.
- Participates in a team-oriented environment to ensure requirements and design are tested.
- In addition to laboratory work, test case debug and conversion to automated test cases will be expected.
Responsibilities include activities throughout the entire software development life cycle. - Basic operation, troubleshooting and repairs of the instrument
- Software Integration and Verification Testing
- Reviews requirements and provide input to ensure they are testable
- Develops informal and formal manual and automated protocols and acceptance criteria for features, requirements or defects according to practices and procedures
- Runs informal and formal protocols for software feature, requirement or defects according to practices and procedures
- Performs software verification activities that may include reviewing requirements, executing test protocols, or creating test protocols.
- Tests instrument functionality by checking and calibrating specific components or assays.
- Records on instrument logs any repairs, replacements and maintenance.
SKILLS
BS in Medical Technology (ASCP certified) is required. 2 - 5 years experience in following standard diagnostic procedures. MS in Computer Science or related field a plus. QTP and Quality Center experience also a plus.
