For our client located in Eindhoven, the Netherlands we are currently looking for a GlassFish Application engineer (Oracle/JAVA)

Short description
As Glassfish Application engineer you're responsible to maintain the Oracle GlassFish application landscape. You'll be proactively identifying performance improvements and issues. Working together with the JAVA developers you'll ensure that application implementation & performance will be maintained and executed at an optimal state.
You'll assist project and support to ensure patches and releases will be deployed timely and accordingly with minimal impact and risks. You'll participate in problem analysis at assigned priority issues. Part of your responsibilities will be maintaining web security policies eg SSL certificates for internal land external application interfaces.
Objectives
Implement and document the new Oracle Glassfish v3 environment which is integrated in the clients landscape
Implement (semi-automated) life cycle management for the GlassFish environment and the corresponding (semi-automated) test environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor degree and/or level
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle DBMS 10g/11g
- Thorough knowledge of application and application interfaces
- Knowledge and experience with security policies at Middleware environments
- Knowledge and experience with Linux RedHat environments
- Good understanding of development methods and technology
- General knowledge of methods and techniques for system development especially in the field of high-availability complex environments.
