Description
Who We AreFlightfox is a marketplace for human-powered flight search. Flight experts compete to build the best trips for our customers. Case in point, we constructed a round-the-world itinerary to six continents, all in business class, for $2,569.
We are a small team with a flat structure. We are good friends and travel the globe in adjacent seats. We like people who are comfortable with rigorous debate and take their work personally.
Job description: UI/UX Designer, Location: Anywhere
The Role
Our primary metric is customer satisfaction. With this in mind, you will design new features, run user tests, improve the user experience, and contribute to product strategy.
You will have ample leeway to work on personal-interest projects and hone your skills. We will teach you advanced front-end development and provide the necessary tools. Over time, you will earn creative control and set the tone for all of our design.
The Requirements
Web experience is essential. You must understand the bounds of HTML and CSS to design lightweight interface components. A love for minimalist design is also a bonus.
That said, we are interested in your commitment to design more than your experience. If you obsess over type, blog about usability, and know what's special about this color in 2013, we would love to talk.
The Benefits
We pay well, but we don't offer free lunch, health, or gym memberships. Instead, we offer a key position in a unique company that will take you to the far reaches of the globe.
Already, the team has spent time in Australia, Nicaragua, Germany, the US, the UK, and our next trip is to Canada. You will learn the shortcuts to flying in premium class and take regular trips with the team for user testing, expert focus groups, and to experience the product. :)
