New position for a Mechanical Design Engineer with Solidworks to join a leading medical device company who design and manufacture a comprehensive range of instruments sold throughout the EU and the rest of the world. They require a Mechanical Design Engineer who has some project management experience to lead a small team of electro-mechanical engineers and be directly involved in hands-on design as well as managing the design process through to manufacture.Requirements:
Individual should be self-driven to understand and solve engineering problems and hands on experience solving mechanical engineering problems.
Must also have very strong documentation and process development skills along with 3D modeling skills.
Must have clear medical device experience.
Experience working with hardware and software products will be beneficial.
Fundamental Mechanical Drafting skills.
Fundamental Design for Manufacturing skills.
Mechanical Engineering related background.
SolidWorks working knowledge creating 3D models of mechanical parts.
Oracle working knowledge of creating items is strongly desired.
Previous experience in Product Engineering is strongly desired.
Strong hands-on understanding of Bills of Material ( BOM ) structures, creation and maintenance of BOM''s.
Attention to detail with strong organization skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience of Mechanical Design, solid works, injection moulding or electro-mechanical design, some product/project management experience would be useful.
