C# / Serverside / FX Options / Contract / London / £500-£600pdMy client a top tier investment bank is looking for a strong serverside C# developer with ideally FX Options knowledge to join their expanding team based inLondon.
What the role will entail:
This role will be involved in work on the new strategic FX Options and Pricing. This is a challenging project, as it must be able to deal flexibly with complex, user customisation of the pricing environment, as well as high volumes of simply defined indicative standard pricing requests. The project will have several phases of delivery, starting with a service for the pricing of FX Option based Notes to external users via Investor Solutions web based front end.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience working closely with the desk, application management to understand requirements around functionality, performance and ease of deployment/support. Also candidates will have strong problem solving and communication abilities.
Successful candidates will have the following experience:
- Strong C#, able to discuss practical use of the language in detail, describing common pitfalls and strategies for safe development. Understanding of the following would be desirable: WCF; multithreaded applications; strong OO development.
- Serverside WCF.
- Front end WPF.
- VBA, you must have exposure to as this role will require daily VBA functions/tasks.
- Business knowledge FX Options (ideal), Commodities or Equity Derivatives is also desirable
