Job Description
One of our leading client's is seekingan influential and dynamic Project Portfolio Manager of IT with proven experience of successfully delivering IT projects.
The Principal Accountabilities of this role are to:
*Manage the Project Management Office
*reports in to the Head of Integrated Solutions.
*Manage the project management team to successfully deliver IT projects
*Plan, estimate and carry out work from the Project Portfolio
*Co-ordinate a schedule of projects and activities *
This is a demanding role, and candidates will need a track record to:
*Ensure that resources are made available.
*Use appropriate quality assurance processes
*Ensure that IT projects are carried out in accordance with the organisation's agreed standards, methods and procedures.
*Manage the dependencies between the projects and programmes that make up the Portfolio.
*Manage the risks and issues associated with the delivery of the Portfolio Work with the Project Management Team Leader and the Project Managers
*Maintains an emphasis on the early identification and, where possible, rectification of problems and deviations from schedule, including changes in requirements, especially where these have resource implications.

Skills/Experience Required:
*Excellent presentation and communication skills.
*The application of project management methodologies in an IT environment.
*A strong ability to lead, mentor and motivate staff.
*Use of innovative techniques for reporting on projects, costs, progress and performance
*Significant experience in Project / Programme Management using leading methodologies and processes e.g. PRINCE2, APM.
*Experience of managing multiple parties including Senior Project Managers and third party vendors.
*The ability to manage teams across multiple locations.
*Expert in Microsoft Project, experience of Microsoft Project Server.
*Understand budgetary control and resource allocation.
