This can be a 6 month contract opportunity with view to extensions or a permanent position. You will have solid experience supporting the ION Trading platform and good knowledge of Fixed Income and/or Commodities. This is a forward thinking finance company who are always looking for ways to innovate.
Your role will include the following responsibilities:
- End to end system support including desktop deployment and downstream interfaces
- Creating and setting up new application environments when required for projects
- Maintain first and second level technical support of nominated Trading & Risk Product applications
- Provision of technical system support services including BCP, security, fault-tolerance, performance, pro-active analysis and defect prevention for production and testing systems.
- Liaison with all technical third parties
- Provide routine application maintenance and assist with advanced configuration work
- Provide test plans and systems testing for upgrades, and assist with UAT
You should have the following skills and experience:
- Front Office Application Support experience
- Experience with the ION Trading platform
- Strong Technical skills across: SQL/Oracle, UNIX, Scripting
- Experience with Market Data: Bloomberg and Tomson Reuters
- Knowledge of Fixed Income and/or Commodities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
