Storage Administrator - Freelance
Mission and tasks
You work in a team dedicated to the study of design infrastructure all our "SAN" solutions, evolution, improving them and their technical support to third level. You mainly make the operational management of existing solutions.
In your role as "support", you are required to have regular contact with customers (by phone or by email). You make a guard role within the team.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Install, upgrade, maintain and support the infrastructure SAN EMC/CISCO (mostly);
- Evaluate, test and adjust the situation to ensure that the changes, upgrades, modifications and/or extensions can be achieved;
- Monitor storage infrastructure and backup and take proactive measures if necessary
- Troubleshoot 3rd level, providing technical expertise to the client;
- Contribute to ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Availability, Capacity, Change and Configuration Management;
- Occupy the role of technology watch and provide consultancy on the management and architecture of storage environments and backup;
- Create and maintain technical documentation (standards, procedures);
- For the customer, be responsible for the overall architecture, advise (procedures, safety, etc..).
Profile
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience;
- Minimum 7 years experience in a similar, particularly in infrastructure based administration, implementation, solution design, support;
- Operational level in French and English. Dutch is an important asset;
- Technical skills required: Windows systems , 2012), Shopsystems AIX, Solaris, RedHat, Suse, VMware, expertise Architectures SAN Generics EMC products, Scripting, good knowledge of networks;
- Technical skills required: ITIL, SQL Server & IIS, MIIS, Exchange, Oracle, DB2, Sharepoint, Notes, SAP;
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel & Visio tools;
- Any certification is an asset;
- Flexibility (guard role to ensure), good analytical skills, solutions oriented, rigorous, structured mind, determined;
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
