Within the company the Sector Development & Engineering (DE) is responsible for the specification and the design of the client's products. The department Imaging Systems Development supplies resources, means and methods, and technology to deliver the specification, design, integration and validation of (sub)systems and the development of new competencies for Advanced Imaging.

Job Mission

As a Design Engineer in the Imaging Systems Development department you will be a key player in a very fast-paced, multidiscipline environment. Primarily, you will be involved in troubleshooting issues and designing solutions for the EUV source systems in Eindhoven and at customer sites. You will also be expected - and encouraged - to integrate with the dynamic and diverse the company's community. It is essential that you get to know the specialists who can help you solve problems and help you seize opportunities for improvement. But knowing these people is just the beginning, you will need to communicate with passion and vision to get their committed support. To help you achieve this mission, you will attend regular integration meetings to discuss and plan progress. You will present findings and results to management and you will interact daily with 4,000 like-minded professionals. At the Imaging Systems department, a little flexibility and commitment can go a long, long way. In case you also like travelling, this may be the challenge for you.

Job Description

You will play a central role within a multidiscipline team that designs, tests and evaluates EUV sources improvements. It is your job to make sure that the EUV sources are up and running ASAP in the factory and in the field. But above all, you will use your 'self-propelling' talents to seize initiatives whenever and wherever the opportunities arises, and you will practice your communications skills to get as many people behind the initiative to ensure its success.

Main Responsibilities:
Specify, design and validate EUV source functionality improvements
Analyze and pragmatically solve issues
Extensive analysis of performance data
Support field and factory with your EUV source knowledge
Specifying test, performing tests and reporting

Education

BSc or MSc in applied physics.
Candidates with a PhD are overqualified

Experience

0 - 2 years relevant experience with troubleshooting in complex systems.
Knowledge of optical measurement systems is preferable.

Personal skills

Must haves:
The candidate must be flexible. Travelling is required (at least 3 times a year for 2 weeks), irregular times (late shifts and working weekends).
The candidate must be eager to learn, should be a fast learner.
He/she should have good communicational skills.
He/she should have a good knowledge of the English language.

Nice to haves:
Experience with data analysis
Matlab experience
Knowledge of measuring and controlling systems
Knowledge of optics
Experience and knowledge of software

The candidate should be able to get a visa on every continent.
