Systems Administrator (Linux), Financial Services,LondonA boutique financial services company is in search of a Linux Systems Administrator to work in an engineering and production role. You will be situated within a global team whose primary function is to streamline the expanding infrastructure by providing critical support.
You will be tasked with engineering Linux based solutions for business or technology requirements. One of the key areas will be focus on improving productivity through automation.
The client is looking to employ a core technologist with great communication skills. The ability to be able to efficiently communicate with other departments both locally and globally will be pivotal within this role.
Ideal Technical Skill Set:
- Strong Systems Administration / Engineer experience (Redhat)
- Automation knowledge (Puppet or Chef)
- Veritas clustering experience
- Virtualisation exposure (VMWare or Xen)
- Strong scripting abilitiy (Bash, Python or Ruby)
- Advanced knowledge of Httpd, Tomcat, JBoss and ActiveMQ
This is an excellent opportunity to break into the financial sector as previous financial experience is not a prerequisite for this role. The client is looking for an ambitious individual who has a real passion to succeed.
