Mechanical Design Engineer

Description

New position for a Mechanical Design Engineer with Solidworks to join a
growing medical device company who design and manufacture
a comprehensive range of instruments sold throughout the EU and the rest of the world.
They require a Mechanical Design Engineer who has some project management experience
to lead a small team of electro-mechanical engineers and be directly involved in hands-on design
as well as managing the design process through to manufacture.

Requirements:

-Individual should be self-driven to understand and solve engineering problems and hands on experience
solving mechanical engineering problems.
-Must also have very strong documentation and process development skills along with 3D modeling skills.
-Must have clear medical device experience.
-Experience working with hardware and software products will be beneficial.
-Fundamental Mechanical Drafting skills.
-Fundamental Design for Manufacturing skills.
-Mechanical Engineering related background.
-SolidWorks working knowledge creating 3D models of mechanical parts.
-Oracle working knowledge of creating items is strongly desired.
-Previous experience in Product Engineering is strongly desired.
-Strong hands-on understanding of Bills of Material ( BOM ) structures, creation and maintenance of BOM''s.
-Attention to detail with strong organization skills.
-Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience of Mechanical Design, solid works, injection moulding or electro-mechanical design,
some product/project management experience would be useful.
