About the Company/Position:
Joining a highly successful Infrastructure as a Service provider, you will join a 3rd level Cloud Implementation team as a Senior Systems Administrator. As one of the Unix/Linux experts in the team, you will assist in the implementation and delivery into operations of a variety of customer solutions as part of the Cloud Computing Services. This includes implementation of Cloud Computing, Utility Hosting, Managed Backup, Dedicated Hosting and Managed Storage. You will support numerous platforms requiring extensive troubleshooting and incident and change management to eliminate problems before they impact the customer. The technology focus is across Solaris 10, Red Hat Linux, KVM, LDOMs and Zones.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as one of the Experts in Solaris, Linux and VMware
  • Manage multiple projects to specific time frames; ensuring products, platforms and infrastructure are integrated into the group correctly and efficiently
  • 3rd/4th level Technical Support - Solaris, Redhat, VMware
  • Drive end to end implementation improvements
  • Employ high levels of reactive and proactive problem management into your day to day activities

Required Skills:

  • Experience in an outsourced Enterprise - preferably in a Cloud or Managed ICT environment
  • Experience in managing Virtual server environments
  • Extensive knowledge in Solaris 10, Linux (RHEL 5), VMWare and Red Hat Kernel Based VM's
  • Experience with Solaris Virtualisation (Logical Domains and Zoneing)
  • Zenoss Experience - highly desirable
  • Excellent Customer Focus
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects
