Description
A high profile Federal Government agency is seeking an MS SQL DataBase Administrator to join their talented and dedicated team in Canberra for an initial 12 month contract with the view to extend for a further 2x 12 months.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Administration of SQL databases in both SQL Server 2005 and 2008 R2 in clustered environment including SQL Server security, replication, mirroring, backup and restore, tuning and Scripting;
- Upgrading SQL server databases including migration of SQL Server 2005 to SQL server 2008 R2;
- Report development, support and troubleshooting (such as MS Reporting Services)
- Supporting in-house developed and third party applications including Marval, EPMS, EDRMS and PeopleSoft;
- Maintaining various IMD support tools including the Marval Service Management and Microsoft Enterprise Project Management Server.
To be considered for this role you will need to have the following:
- Extensive production experience and knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database administration, database design and performance tuning;
- Proven experience and knowledge of Microsoft Data Transformation Services;
- Proven experience and understanding of information systems with respect to Microsoft operating systems and products, in relation to the operation of a SQL Server database environment;
- Proven experience in developing/maintaining MSM environments (or other ITSM toolsets);
- Proven experience in developing/maintaining MS Enterprise Project Management Servers (or other MS Sharepoint applications);
