To work in a Team environment within the IS Division Development Group, carrying out systems analysis and programming work to develop and maintain our websites and associated applications.
To deliver high-quality services to customers at all times.
Technical skills required
• Industry gained skills in
o SharePoint 2010 development
o ASP.NET, C#
o BDC
o MS Entity Framework
o WCF
o JavaScript
o XML, XSL
o SQL Server
• A high level of knowledge and understanding of Web Accessibility (WCAG).
• A high level of knowledge and understanding of e-Business strategies and technologies.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. To assist in the redevelopment/enhancement of our websites and other hosted and supported sites. [SharePoint 2010, ASP.NET, C#]
2. To maintain software version control and arrange live release of code in a timely, effective, and efficient manner, in consultation with customers and other relevant IS Division teams, using the division's Change Management system.
3. To maintain a test environment and ensure that adequate testing is performed for all likely scenarios, including volume testing and any network traffic/remote site issues.
4. To provide first line support in the event of system software failure.
5. Assist Team Leader to provide timescales and estimates for new projects and work requests.
6. Provide organisation-wide support on technical programming issues and supported tools.
7. Follow technical standards in force, and apply change control standards as appropriate. Generate and maintain standards where required.
8. Liaise with Account Managers to ensure that best service practices are applied.
9. To be part of the IS Division Virtual Service Desk. To follow all internal standards and meet the requirements of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs).
