Based in the Dudley, just outside the city centre, this 2 form entry primary school are seeking to appoint a year 2 teacher to a permanent post. The role is due to start in September and is a full time position requiring the successful applicant to teach all subjects of the national curriculum. You will be a committed teacher, passionate about teaching Key Stage 1 pupils and with excellent knowledge of the year 2 curriculum, ensuring that your pupils are given every opportunity to excel in their end of year SATS.

The school itself is located near the city centre of Dudley and benefits from excellent transport links.

The school is a brief bus journey from the city centre, or a 15 minute walk from the train station. The school has good parking facilities for staff and there would be a space available should the successful applicant want to drive.

The school itself has an excellent reputation and is a popular and oversubscribed school with an outstanding record of academic achievement. You will join a warm and friendly team of staff, who are committed to their pupils and well led by an excellent Head who provides motivation and direction to staff as well as inspirational leadership.

You will be responsible for taking a class of 30 year 2 pupils with mixed abilities, though the majority are well above the national average. You will be required to take on the full responsibilities of class teacher, being responsible for you classroom, planning and preparation of works and the required duties of a full time member of staff. Support within the classroom will also be provided in the form of an experienced level 3 teaching assistant.
