Album is a 10-year strategic branding partner for emerging consumer brands, located in San Clemente, CA (Southern Orange County). We’re looking for a freelance Front-End Developer with 2-3 years experience and a strong understanding of UI/UX to help streamline our workflow and build awesome web experiences for our clients.
OVERVIEWOur ideal candidate is detail-oriented, flexible, and passionate about their craft. You have a strong sense of pride and ownership in what you build. Finding a good fit for our casual, laid back work environment is incredibly important to us. You must be able to work from our office about 50% of the time. This is a part-time contractor role with the potential for full-time hire.
RESPONSIBILITIESWork closely with UI/UX designers to code production-ready websites and web applications – both small and large. Help refine our technical processes, advocate best development practices, and educate our designers to strengthen our team as a whole.
REQUIREMENTSYou must be an expert in semantic, standards-compliant code and a cross-browser compatibility guru:
- HTML5 / Slim
- CSS3 / SASS
- JavaScript / jQuery / AJAX
- Wordpress (along with some basic PHP)
- Mobile (responsive media queries)
- SSH and version control (GitHub)
We’d love you even more if you were familiar with:
- CoffeeScript
- AngularJS
- Database management (MySQL)
- Basic understanding of Ruby development environments
