Our Sales & Marketing department requires a Senior Front End Web Developer to conceive, research and implement new website functionality in liaison with other designers and developers from business and IT segments.This post calls for someone who is passionate about designing and developing responsive sites with a good understanding of SEO. Equally important in this role are strong interpersonal skills with an ability to clearly communicate complex technical scenarios to management and non-technical team members.
Key responsibilities:
• Working directly with and supporting SEO team requirements;
• Liaising with the internal web-development team, design team and act as a point of reference to other Front-end web developers;
• Prioritizing task requests, managing deadlines and taking team technical decisions;
• Implement new website functionality and maintain existing website code;
• Troubleshooting and testing in HTML, CSS and Javascript;
• Researching and keeping the team abreast with current and new technology.
Required skills and experience:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with HTML, JavaScript, CSS and PHP in a hand-coded environment;
• Experience in leading graphic design tools mainly to slice composites for website implementation;
• A thorough understanding of the technical mechanics of how the web works with an excellent grasp of current best practices in HTML markup/code execution;
• Solid understanding of server-side components and databases;
• Ability to write search engine optimized HTML;
• Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills in a variety of test scenarios;
• Familiarity with version control systems and experience of developing responsive sites that are concurrently optimized for multiple devices and screen sizes;
• The ability to liaise with different teams and stake-holders;
• Being ready to learn and develop on different technologies.
