Description
The Buyer / Production Planner is responsible for ensuring that high quality materials are available to Solta Medical at the expected time, in the expected quantities and at the expected costs. Functional responsibilities include planning, procurement, and cost reductions. The Buyer / Production Planner is also responsible for the planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of products through the complete production cycle.Required & Preferred Experience:
* An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
* Buyer Planner experience - particularly in the manufacture of instrumentation and/or medical devices (4 years or more) including:
* Knowledge and experience in the utilization of ERP systems and planning tools.
* Knowledge and experience in Bill of Material structures and component specifications.
* Purchasing skills to include obtaining quotes and negotiations.
* Purchase order entry skills, knowledge of receiving transactions and return to vendor transactions. Inventory management knowledge to include knowledge of various inventory transactions.
* Experience working within a rigorous quality system environment (ISO 13485, FDA cGMP/QSR).
* Strong collaboration, team building, and development skills.
* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Strong MS Office skills.
* Expandable, SAP, and / or Microsoft AX ERP experience preferred.
* APICS certification is preferred.
* Valid drivers' license required.
