Specific Duties:
  • Provide sales input to budgeting and strategic planning process, and formulate sales strategy , in cooperation with responsible product Area Sales Manager(s)
  • Establish close, direct and regular customer contacts in the UK & Ireland, including oil and gas production companies, production ship-owners and operators, engineering consultants, engineering contractors, OEM's and other industry players.
  • Build the profile withinUKoil and gas production companies and engineering contractors
  • Act as Key Account Manager for UK OPU customers maintaining an overview of all aspects of interaction with the client base.
  • Prepare formal quotations and bids, negotiate contracts and prepare orders for internal processing in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Work closely with the technical support teams in theUKandNorwayand the project organisation.
  • Collaborate freely with sales colleagues internationally to maximise business from overseas contracts forUKowners and operators.
  • Participate in reviews of service contracts in conjunction with After Market Support
  • Organise and participate in marketing initiatives, exhibitions and conferences. Participate in industry bodies.
  • Collate market intelligence from customer feedback, and distribute within the organisation to assist in market strategy, or development and improvement of products.
  • Fully adopt, and operate according to HSE and Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Manage selling costs to within budget, and submit regular activity reports including forecasts.
  • Maintain a high level of product and application knowledge through formal training and self teaching.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge related to contractual terms and conditions.

Sales Process, Marketing Process and other appropriate QMS processes.

Minimum Qualifications & Training
  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering or Science (B.Sc./B.Eng./M.Sc.) in Electronics, Applied Physics or similar
  • Demonstrable experience in business development or sales with proven ability to meet targets.
  • Demonstrable technical experience of automation systems in oil & gas applications in a project or support capacity
  • Innovative thinker with ability to develop and successfully conclude sales opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including computer literacy.
  • Excellent people skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, verbal and numerical
