Description

We have two successful Rails apps used as critical infrastructure in the recording and management of animal health data. We are based in Armagh, Northern Ireland but the majority of our customer base is in the US.

We pay actual cash (that you can spend in shops, bars and restaurants), not stock options and are looking for Rails developers to join us - you can work remotely with periodic visits to Ireland as needed.

We are market leaders in our space and have more product opportunity than we are able to meet with our current resources -- we are looking for talented Rails developers to join our team and help us convert ideas into products.

You are a motivated, well-organized Ruby on Rails developer looking for an opportunity to join forces with an established market leader. You’ll be happy working independently and collaborating using the usual tools (git, google docs etc.)

Role:
  • Design, develop and deploy our products as they evolve and improve
  • Design intuitive user interfaces for complicated data entry requirements
  • Produce high quality software designs which you’ll implement as coherent, well-executed code
  • Work as part of a team, sharing knowledge and skills

  • Qualifications:
  • 5+ years commercial software development experience, with proven experience with Rails programming
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Experienced with being part of a distributed team
  • Well versed in git, twitter bootstrap, jQuery, prawn, heroku deployment, nokogiri, Amazon Web Services
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills
