OCP, Oracle 8i/9i/10g/11g, Grid, Data Guard, Forms & Reports.We are urgently seeking a Technical Consultant (Oracle DBA) to work in Nottingham.
Experience in the following is required:
A professional image is essential, as this is a customer facing role.
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
Skills;
Oracle 8i/9i/10g/11g Database Administration:
Grid
RAC
ASM
Data Guard
Advanced Security
Oracle 9i/10g/11g Application Servers (include Forms and Reports services)
UNIX/Linux Systems Administration
Windows Administration
Experience in the following is desirable:
JBOSS Application Servers
SQL Server 2008 R2
Virtualisation Technologies (VMWare, Oracle VM)
SAN knowledge and capacity planning
A desire to develop the above skills with an enthusiasm for technology.
Must be able to demonstrate a high level of both verbal and written communication, with an outward professional image.
To be able work without supervision or as part of a team ensuring that strict deadlines are adhered to.
IMPORTANT: Will need to be prepared to be security cleared up to SC (as a minimum).
The salary will be 30 to 40k dependent upon experience; this is a role that will require travel both in the UK and potentially internationally.
