Due to consistent contract wins a Blackpool based client urgently requires a number of 1st Line / 2nd line (possibly 3rd line) support engineers for a 6-12 month contract. The interviews will be held tomorrow - there are 5 slots only. As one of the 1st Line / 2nd Line Support Engineers on you will be providing IT & Network infrastructure support services to local companies. You will also be working alongside senior engineers and supporting them in their IT projects. The role:
  • Support clients via help-desk and occasionally onsite across desktop, server, network, printer and comms related issues.
  • Building, installation, configuration, migration where necessary
  • When onsite carry out Preventative Maintenance on client IT systems.
  • Manual handling of all hardware equipment when onsite.
Experience required:
  • 3-5 years+ experience technical support across desktops, servers and networks
  • Desktop xp-7 support experience (build, configure and support etc.)
  • AD / Active Directory support experience
  • Exchange knowledge/experience (migration/installation/build/configure/support etc.)
  • Knowledge of corporate Antivirus and Symantec Backup Exec
  • Mobile Device support experience (Iphones, ipads, blackberry, android and other mobile devices)
  • Terminal Services/Remote Desktop services deployment and support
  • Disaster Recovery solutions install and support
  • Network - routers, firewalls, switches config and support
  • Server r2 knowledge/experience
Desirable:
  • Any Migration/Deployment/rollout projects experience a bonus
  • Any experience building MS Servers in a production environment (live servers) a bonus.
  • Any experience with virtualization technologies, specifically Cirtrix is a bonus
