Description
Our client require a Procurement and Contracting Liaison Officer for an initial period of 6 months for 3 days a week. The Liaison Officer will represent our client in the data gathering and understanding of existing security contracting and procurement activities in Kuwait and act as a communications and relationship-building conduit to formulate a blueprint of supply market knowledge and Legacy contractual commitments.
We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the following:
Extensive experience of the defence and security environment is required, as is a detailed knowledge of the workings of the Kuwaiti Government;
An existing network of commercial and government contacts within Kuwait is crucial to the role and an ability to conduct meetings discretely and precisely;
A working knowledge of the Middle East will be a distinct advantage;
Experience of interaction and relationship building at senior Government and Commercial Executive level
Experience of gathering, collating, managing and reporting commercial information in a complex environment
Knowledge of procurement processes and major contracts administration
Ability to operate alone in complex and remote environments
Excellent written and oral communication skills (preferably English and Arabic)
Familiarity with Arab and specifically Kuwaiti culture
Trusted sponsors within Kuwaiti senior business and society circles
