For our international end client we are looking for a Solution Architect

Solution Architect:
Our clients IT organisation is looking for a mid-level Technical Architect in support of a high-profile project in the delivery vertical Subsurface software.
The candidate must have at least 5 years working (architecture) experience in multi-disciplinary teams being exposed internationally. The candidate needs excellent understanding of infra-structure hosting and IT components like Windows Server, Linux, Middleware services and integration (Active Directory), Security, HP Blades and Performance Analysis and Optimisation. Proven project experience in Energy sector or Oil&Gas is a preferred. TOGAF certification or being exposed to a similar methodology is required.
The assignment includes review of the current Virtual Workstation cluster set-up and identification of any incompliant hardware components on our Virtual Workstation offering (HP Blades with Windows/Linux images); ie what we can turn off in our Windows standard image that isn't really functionally necessary and impacts performance. Further analysis needs to be done ie look at performance end to end for 4-5 key applications, identify patterns and provide recommendations.
Feasible improvement steps must be identified and being implemented in collaboration with our in-house IT suppliers. The candidate must be able to grasp this application domain properly ie have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and come up with an approach to address the performance issues and drive that into the project.
