Web Developer (full-time telecommute position)

Socha Dev is a development shop providing overflow, triage and problem solving services to other development teams, as well as a few end-clients. We specialize in the development phase of web apps & sites, with particular expertise PHP and Drupal. See more about our recent work at sochadev.com.

Location flexible! We are a distributed dev team. If you do good work and communicate well, you're welcome to do it from the moon. We tend to post in WI because that's where the home base is, and in D.C. because that's where many of our clients and friends are, but we don't really care where you live.

Socha Dev is seeking full time developers to join the team. Here's what we need:

Strong PHP

Strong JavaScript

Solid knowledge of development on the LAMP stack + nginx

Knowledge & experience with up-to-date PHP (5.3+) dev techniques

Understanding & experience with MVC frameworks

Experience with complex Drupal configs & Drupal module dev (we do a lot of Drupal work!)

Primary focus on backend development, but HTML and CSS skills are expected, too
Git

Socha Dev is headquartered in Madison, WI, but most of our clientele is actually in the D.C. metro area and we currently have employees in WI, NY, and DC. Your location doesn't matter as long as you do good work and communicate well! Communication is important in a full-time telecommute position. You must be online when you say you'll be online and able to collaborate ad-hoc via phone, IM, email, etc.

Compensation:

$60-100k/year depending on skill and experience
