My Client a leading Telecoms company based in Dublin is urgently looking for a Software Configuration Manager for a Contract position based in their offices in Dublin.

Excellent rate on offer for the right candidate.

The requirement is for an SCM specialist to work within the Production Engineering team which will have responsibility for software builds of Maintenance Releases/Emergency Patches within the development organization and the management of the appropriate supporting tools and processes within a fast moving company. The Software Configuration Manager will be a key member of the Production Engineering organization and as such will work closely with all the Release Management, Development Teams, Application Support and QA.

You will have at least 10 years industry experience with 4+ years' experience in Software Configuration management/Build Engineer/Developer roles. Unix, C++

In addition, essential for this role is

  • Experience in using SCM Tools such as: Subversion, CVS, ClearCase or other industry standard tools.
  • Experience of software build and deployments including use of make, nmake, ant, Nant, maven, NUnit, ndepend, JUnit cxx test and UNIX Scripting.
  • Experience of using Continuous Integration/Automated Building tools such as CruiseControl.
  • Understanding the SDLC, including Agile.
  • Experience of software development languages, in particular C/C++/Java.
  • Knowledge of Scripting languages such as Perl, PHP, Tcl/Tk, Shell.
  • Experience in working in UNIX environments.
  • Experience on RDBMS
