Description

Our financial services client based in Dublin 2 has an immediate 12 month fixed term contract requirement for a software developer who has worked in SharePoint amp; .NET development roles. Applicants must have at least 3 - 5 years experience designing and implementing software solutions using SharePoint and .NET. The organisations has recently adopted SharePoint as a corporate platform which are based on SharePoint /.NET technology and underpinned by several data warehouses. These systems are interfaced to other Line of Business Applications and it is expected that the systems and their interfaces will continue to evolve and be enhanced on an on-going basis. They now have a requirement for a software developer who possesses both SharePoint and .NET skills and whose primary responsibility will be overseeing the delivery of system enhancements for these systems. The role requires deep technology knowledge and the ability to develop SharePoint and .NET solutions in line with business requirements. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Solution Architecture. Duties and Responsibilities: Develop solutions:- Assist the Head of Solution Architecture to define and document technical requirementsDesign and prototyping of solutionsBuild and maintain applications using object oriented methodologyDesign and build workflowsDesign and customise SharePoint and .NET solutions Support the business:- On-going support for SharePoint applicationsPlan and implement software version upgrade releasesTroubleshoot and debug SharePoint sitesWork as a consultant to business units on SharePoint customisation projectsMonitor system performance and conduct performance tuning where requiredInterface with Microsoft Corporation for technical support Requirements: Relevant Microsoft certifications in SharePoint and .NET technologiesKnowledge of Data Modelling and Data IntegrationAbility to work as part of a development teamExcellent understanding of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 platformSolid understanding of C#, and .NET FrameworkAdditional technical requirements include hands-on experience in several of the following products or technologies:.NET Development Platform (Visual Studio, .Net Framework), JavaScript, JQuery, CSS C#, ASP.Net, SQL Server Databases, MS SQL Reporting Services, XML, Web Services, development methodologies.
