Huxley Associates Investment Banking client based in Canary Wharf, London requires a Fixed Income Rates Senior Tester on a Contractual basis.Main Function:
The FI Rates QA team tests our clients FI Official Risk & Calculation applications globally. The candidate will join a distributed team and be specifically responsible for providing the quality assurance of London OTC Derivatives P&L and Risk Reporting system's through comprehensive functional and regression testing. This will be a hands-on role and will include test preparation and execution throughout the delivery process encompassing system, user acceptance and release testing validation and relies heavily on close coordination with software development/IT teams and Front Office, Finance, Risk Management users. The system covers amongst other products, IR Swaps, Government Bonds, Futures, Money Market trades, FRA's, Caps/Floors and ETO's traded by the Fixed Income desks globally.
Experience Required
- Detailed functional testing of Risk and PnL reporting software. 5+ years IB experience.
- Understanding of Swaps Pricing, PnL Attribution and Risk Measure's (Greeks).
- Extensive experience of manual testing & structured testing methodology.
- Proven ability of developing complex test cases from limited requirements using formal test case design techniques.
- Experience of reconciliation testing high volume data feeds, Excel reports and database data.
- Ability to solve testing challenges through creative and intelligent self-developed software solutions.
- Experience of coordinating test execution offshore.
- Close Development interaction with the ability to build relationships and be an active project team member.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to audiences of all levels.

- Experience with HP Quality Centre and JIRA, Test reporting and Defect Management.
- ISEB Software Testing Foundation / Practitioners Certificate or ISTQB qualification.
Skills / Aptitude Preferred
- Programming skills in Java or C# for xUnit development.
- Market Risk Testing Experience.
- Exposure to automation test tools e.g. Quick Test Professional, HP UFT, Test Complete.
- Exposure to XML and distributed GRID computing testing.
- Working knowledge of Unix commands/Unix Shell or PERL Scripting
