Work with the local team to develop strategies, objectives and budgets and oversee the implementation of business plans. Conduct monthly operational and financial reviews with key team members. Manage and report on the financial performance of the business unit. Ensure the business organisation complies with all company QHSE policies.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

* Responsible for management of all personnel working within the business unit.

* Responsible for setting business objectives, identifying strategic markets, setting of goals, preparing annual targets and budgets.

* Review and approve proposal pricing strategies.

* Responsible for ensuring budgets are managed and monthly financial reports prepared and submitted.

* Responsible for management of cash flow,

* Responsible for ensuring that client invoices are paid on time or business unit proactively chases payment.

* Ensure that planning processes are in place to identify personnel and equipment resource requirements and availability to deliver on contractual obligations.

* Be actively involved in bringing new technologies into the business.

* Encourage the diversification of services delivered; explore opportunities to acquire complimentary businesses.

* Control expenditure.

* Ensure that the Management System complies with regulatory requirements, reflects the work practices that are carried out, is maintained and is followed.

* Ensure that an Audit plan is prepared to review compliance with the Management System.

* Responsible for the management of facilities, ensure facilities can accommodate planned business levels and growth.

* Ensure that the organisation has an adequate competency system in place that identifies minimum skills and training for each discipline.

* Ensure that personnel are developed, appraisal of performance completed and yearly training plans developed.

* Creation of KPI's for the business unit along with the establishment of processes to ensure the collection of appropriate statistical information to allow performance against the KPI's to be measured.

* Ensure compliance from all personnel with the QHSE system, encouraging involvement from all personnel in the improvement of the system.

* Chair monthly management QHSE improvement review meetings.

* Overall responsibility for BD, establish business relationships with key clients.

Qualifications / Experience Preferred:

* Degree or similar level of further education.

* Good technical knowledge of the oil and gas industry and in particular some knowledge of the pipeline and the process testing business.

* Strong business understanding, experience in budget ownership and financial reporting.

* Good business development skills and willingness to build strong business relationships with key clients.

* Minimum 5 years experience gained within a management capacity.

* Strong management skills.

* Knowledge of the market and the ability to identify the 'decision makers'.
