Our client is one of Australia's leading and largest Financial Services Organization that has expanded its operations beyond the Australian shores. The organization has a large range of financial offerings to both public and private clients across the retail, corporate and institutional banking areas. They have a very large technical footprint that combine a dynamic range of technologies in an ultimate complex landscape.
The Team
The Web Solutions Team is responsible for all of the web and mobile offerings of this organization. They're a very well-respected, highly visible team, constantly driving web and mobile application innovation within the organization. The applications that they design are critical to this organization's continued success and steady growth.
The Role
You will work closely with UX designers, product managers and architects to design and deliver best-in-breed web and mobile applications for the various business units within the organization. You will be among the best in the business - a creative problem solver, problem owner and effective communicator. You will be responsible for the development of user interfaces for both web and mobile products. You will also be involved in the front to Back End integration of services. You will work closely with architects to design, prototype, and develop fully functioning products. You will create large, robust, high-volume web and mobile applications that will change the way this organization interacts with its customers.
Requirements of the role:
- 4+ years of commercial web development experience - with an appreciation for aesthetics, visual design, and user experience (UI/UX).
- Strong demonstrated experience with HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, DOM Scripting,
- Experience with .NET Technologies (C#, ASP.NET), Javascript and jQuery.
- Previous software engineering experience - understanding Front End and Back End technologies such as SQL (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
- Demonstrated mastery of hand-coded HTML and CSS, knowledge of web standards, browser nuances, and Client Server performance and optimization techniques.
- Understanding of best practices for browser standards and compatibility.
- Experience developing for iOS and Android (highly desirable but not required).
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with good technical and business acumen.
