Construction Superintendent - North Sea
3/3 rotation
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Manage delivery of agreed scope of offshore projects noting technical and commercial aspects
*Participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
*To safely and efficiently manage & provide guidance to an integrated offshore team to ensure project schedule targets are achieved
*Liaison with onshore support team to put together project strategy to meet deadlines
*Supervise and guide the maintenance & construction crew to ensure optimum cost effectiveness and equipment reliability and availability
*Ensure workscope undertaken by the contractors is fit for purpose, cost effective and meets all Company, statuary and legislative requirements
*Organise and motivate the offshore team to ensure the organisation maintains a competent and satisfied workforce.
*Direct the activities of offshore personnel on-board the flotel during a platform emergency to ensure that operations are conducted safely, effectively and efficiently in line with the Platform Emergency Response procedures
*Encourage pro-active and open approach to learning and sharing knowledge
*Keep abreast of site environmental initiatives and raise any concerns regarding existing environmental practices
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
*Professional Engineer or HNC qualification with appropriate offshore experience in oil and gas industry (or equivalent), including time spent in Operations
*Good understanding of plant operating principles and maintenance practices for oil and gas processing and well operations
*Management and leadership skills in order to guide a team of multi-disciplined personnel including contractors
*Demonstrate a rigorous and methodical approach to production/maintenance whilst showing a common sense approach when anticipating and analysing work
