As the demand for AMEC expertise continues to grow; an opportunity has now arisen for Mechanical Engineers to work within our North East Engineering Centre based in Darlington.

Primat are looking to speak to Mechanical Engineers with HND Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent, a working knowledge of mechanical engineering subjects relative to engineering contracting. Rotating equipment experience, in particular gas compressors are essential and experienced in CCGT Turbines (Combined Cycle Gas Turbines) is preferably.

Key Responsibilities are varied and could include

- Preparation of equipment requisitions, specifications, data sheets, drawings, bid tabulations, data schedules

- Technical bid analysis

- Review vendor calculations

- Make technical recommendations

- The ability to work within a team, producing mechanical engineering deliverables to schedule and within manhour budgets

- Quality and safety of designs

- Adherence to Codes, Standards and Regulations

- Interdisciplinary design interface

- Communication of information to teams
