Contract Senior Project Engineer for Delivery of Renewable Offshore Cable Projects.- Negotiable Day Rate, Based in Cambridge, Initial 6 month contract.
I am currently working with a leading cable company within the renewable sector. I am working with this client in the recruitment of a contract Senior Project Engineer for delivery of offshore cable projects.
Within this role you will be providing technical support to the PM's to ensure delivery on the project; from preparation of procedures through to management of subcontractors. As well as this you will if necessary manage the implementation of new technology whilst working on the project.
This role will see you being in a very client facing position, representing the company on site and on vessels as well as this you may when necessary be involved in the management of vessel mobilisation both in the UK and foreign facilities.
This position allows you to liaise very closely with various areas of the business. You will engage with the purchasing department to deal with procurement of equipment and financial audits. As well as this you will coordinate with the design engineering tea, to produce design drawings.
Essential skills required:
Offshore renewables subsea cable experience
Bachelor Degree in technical subject or equivalent
Experience of Matrix Management System
Strong organisational skills
Strong IT skills
Concise reporting ability and good communication skills.
Advantageous skills:
Naval architecture /marine engineering experience
MathCAD/MatLAB experience
AutoCAD and Solidworks
