Senior Storage Architect
Our client, a high profile Australian owned company, is seeking the services of a suitably experienced Senior Storage Architect (preferably with strong HDS Brocade Cisco experience) for an initial three month period, with extensions depending on performance.
The major requirements will be to:
- Provide architectural and technical input to review data storage technologies and solutions into the program of ICT work scheduled for implementation.
- Maintain a high level architectural view of our clients SAN environment and future roadmap.
- Provide upfront technical input into the planning, estimating and design of systems.
- Identify appropriate levels of integration.
- Design/Plan, build and implement Storage Area Networks and Storage Sub-System environments for new and existing applications.
- Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and vendors on product selection, product upgrades and product implementation "best practices".
- Participate in technology reviews/future directions review, with 3rd party providers of information services.
- Provide QA reviews at the project implementation stage and operate at a significantly technical level to the point of implementation.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Extensive experience in a broad range of IT technologies such as HDS, Brocade SAN Switches, IBM SANs
- Extensive experience in planning and designing of SAN and Storage Sub - System solutions and associated implementation
- Extensive experience in the design and provisioning of Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions and
- High Availability (HA) solutions suited to various applications
- Experience with HDS, Brocade, Cisco, Microsoft Operating Systems, VMware, Citrix, Exchange, and Active Directory
We would expect at least 5 years experience as a Senior Storage Architect at the Enterprise level.
This is a 3+ Month initial engagement for a suitably qualified Senior Storage Architect.
