Mainframe Programmer

Job Requirement:
4- -6 years of experience Troubleshoots complex problems. Designs implements technical solutions. Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Supports testing, debugging, and refining the computer software to produce the required product. Helps prepare both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. This is highly responsible work maintaining and maturing Mainframe applications and interfaces. Will be responsible for creation of concept, design, testing and maintenance of customizations of and interfaces to Mainframe applications. Will meet frequently with staff before and during project, to ascertain requirements, and also afterwards to train staff in the proper maintenance and proper use of new features.
Must have Cobol,CICS, VSAM, JCL experience
Top 3 - 5 Daily responsibilities
For development, majority of time is spent coding using Cobol/CICS to meet business/user specifications.
Coordinate with Team members and provide status and assist with testing efforts.
Conducts system/unit testing.
