Description
Use your extensive information architecture knowledge and previous experience with assessing deployed MS SharePoint Solutions to conduct a review of the environment.
The purpose of your role will be to create a roadmap for SharePoint within the organisation that is based on a 'best practice approach' towards information management.
Duties:
- Work directly with stakeholders to review and asses the established SharePoint environment including (but not limited to) architecture, governance structures, procedures, guidelines, protocols and templates
- Provide implementation plans for upgrade and various deployment scenarios
- Provide expert guidance, support and best practice leadership/mentorship
- Maintain a strong customer focus
- Contribute positively and proactively
- Create a SharePoint roadmapincluding (but not limited to) architecture, governance structures, procedures, guidelines, protocols and templates
- Provide updates to senior managers as required
- Define roles/functions for the ongoing support and continued development of SharePoint within the Department including (but not limited to) administrators, developers& publishers
- Undertake other duties as required by the project executive.
Skills
- Experience in translating business requirements and processes into effective solutions with 5+ years in SharePoint solutions
- Hands-on experience in information and architecture governance practices, policies and best-practices within a government enterprise
- Experience with the Microsoft Toolset, architecture, development & analysis across the Microsoft .NET and SharePoint frameworks
- Experience in the development of Enterprise N-Tier Applications, on any platform, with a preference for SharePoint and .NET
- Experience architecting and administering scalable SharePoint farms
- Experience developing with SharePoint Object Model, SharePoint Client Object Model, PowerShell, and .NET
