My client is in need of an experienced IT Helpdesk Support Officer to join its IT department for an initial 3 month contract with the view to be extended. The successful applicant will primarily provide desktop and networking support in a mixed IT environment made up of Linux, Mac and PC desktop.
The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following;
- Provide a first point of contact for resolving day-to-day IT issues as they arise and are reported.
- Maintain a hardware and software asset register.
- Provide and configure equipment for new personnel.
- Monitor and respond to IT security incidents, system faults, hardware and software performance issues.
- Maintain IT equipment; liaising with suppliers regarding warranty repairs.
To be suitable for this role you will ideally have:
- Comprehensive understanding of PC/Windows and/or Mac computing environments including hardware and software
- Have experience in Level 1
- Show comfort in working via email, phone and in client facing situations
- Good general knowledge of IT Networks
- Excellent Customer Service
- Must have a positive attitude
This successful candidate will be offered an initial 3 month contract with the view to be extended.
