Financial Controller
6 - 9 month contract
Rate £32.32 - £49.53 per hour

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) to embark on a Financial Controller contract working for a world leading oil and gas organisation based in London.
The role will involve interacting with senior stakeholders and advising on a variety of accounting issues as well as the wider implications of transactions, including interest and exchange exposures, distributable reserves, liquidity, tax matters, acquisitions, disposals and other restructuring transactions.
The role will also involve working closely with the Group treasury, tax and legal functions to ensure the holding company assets are managed and hedged, and dividends are executed in line with treasury policy. Providing accounting advice and guidance to project teams on a variety of transactions to ensure that all items are appropriately reported and understood. Ensuring efficient and tightly controlled reporting processes are in place to support the quarterly Group reporting and annual statutory reporting processes, which are performed by our shared business service centres
This is a challenging and varied role, giving a unique overview of different areas of the businesses. You will enjoy taking the initiative and use your creativity and interpersonal skills to develop the most effective solutions to accounting and reporting issues, while sharing knowledge and best practices throughout the finance community.
The ideal candidate will have trained with one of the larger accountancy practices. As well as having excellent IFRS technical accounting expertise, you will have the ability to generate innovative solutions to varied and unique accounting issues and effectively communicate advice. With your overview of finance you'll be able to take the lead in ensuring individual entity and group needs are met.
