Interim Membership Manager & Assistant Board Secretary

Working as part of the Board Secretariat, the postholder will have lead responsibility for developing and implementing the Trust's membership strategy and organising elections to the Council of Governors.

They will take a leading role in working with the Council of Governors to achieve a growing membership and promote active participation of members and the Council in shaping the Trust's delivery of services and forward plans. The postholder will ensure that the Trust adopts best practice and involves partners and stakeholders appropriately. They will support service users, carers, staff and members of the public in relation to membership and Governor activities, and will be the main point of contact for members and the Council of Governors.

*To provide comprehensive management of C&I's membership function and all membership activity and prepare statutory reports on Trust membership in the Annual Report and Monitor Annual Plan.
*To manage the recruitment of members, including the co-ordination of recruitment campaigns.
*To ensure recruitment of members is carried out in accordance with the legislation and Monitor guidance.
*To interpret national policy to develop, implement and monitor C&I's membership strategy.
*To analyse the demographics of the membership, compare and contrast with other mental health Trusts and Census data and make changes to the membership strategy and recruitment campaigns accordingly, to ensure that C&I's membership remains representative of the local population.
*To develop membership and promotional material and co-ordinate the dissemination and publication to potential members. To liaise with the communications team, design and print companies as required.
*To maintain and operate the membership database and related systems in accordance with requirements set out in the National Health Service Act 2006/Health and Social Care Act 2012 and the Data Protection Act 1998. To liaise with C&I's database provider as required.
*To provide a high level of confidential administrative and governance support to the Board of Directors including Board of Directors meetings and sub-committees of the Board.
