I am currently looking for IT Business Analyst to come onboard for my Aberdeen based Oil and Gas client for a 6 month contract position.The main responsibilities of the role will include:
- Assist with the support of the clients IT Applications environment. Based inAberdeen, but also supporting other European offices.
- Manage projects from conception through to completion.
- Assist with the implementation of IT products/bespoke applications.
- Provide support to the various technical applications used within the client. (e.g. Chemical & Corrosion Management, Document Management, Production Allocation and reporting, Hand Held technologies, Real Time Plant Information System, Planning systems etc).
- Design, set up and maintain Business Objects Universes and reports
(User-friendly graphical interface for database query creation and reporting) - Troubleshoot problems and apply upgrades/"bug" fixes to applications as necessary.
- Perform compliance and audit activities as required.
Skills:
- Good communication and team working skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Knowledge of upstream Oil and Gas industry

- Quick Learner
- Ability to support and troubleshoot IT problems involving different technologies.
- Knowledge Requirements
- Applications used in Upstream Operations
- Windows server environment.
- Oracle and SQL Server database technologies.
- PI Historian and Energy Components knowledge an advantage
