Successful Hedge-Fund Seeks A Business-Focussed DeveloperAn established hedge fund is looking to extend their fund derivative business through the recruitment of an excellent and highly analytical developer.
Salary: £55-65k + unbeatable competitive benefits and bonuses!
This is a fast-growing and complex business area for which the technology team work to develop and support particularly sophisticated trading platforms. You will be enhancing existing systems as well as undertaking Greenfielddevelopment.
The position will require you to use a range of technologies e.g. Java, C#, DB2 & Sybase. Therefore you must have around 2-5 years commercial experience working as a developer with a strong understanding of object oriented fundamentals.
You do not require prior financial experience, as long as you can demonstrate an appreciation for financial markets, and are prepared to take on a challenging learning curve in gaining business knowledge in this bespoke business area and wish to understand this group's products and structures.
The position will involve a good deal of direct liaisons with external clients: this will require you to be an outstanding communicator.

To apply for this position you must have:
- At least 2-5 years hands-on developer experience in C#/Java
- Have experience working with an RDBMS e.g. SQL, Oracle, Sybase, DB2
- A genuine interest/experience in financial markets
- An excellent degree min 2:1 - gained at a top university in Computing (or related), Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics.
- A Tier 1 Visa/PermResidency/UKCitizenship - This job is in London
