Description
My client based in the Midlands is undertaking a large scale business systems improvement project.Therefore they are looking for an experienced SAP Data Migration Analyst to join the SAP team to work on the data migration workstream within the project.
You will be part of a large project team and will be responsible for managing the data migration activity.
Responsibilities:
* Data Gathering Analysis
* Co-ordinate legacy data requirements with workstream data owners
* Data archiving and de-commissioning
* Data cleanse and migration delivery activities
* Co-ordinate legacy system and data analyst resource
* Ensure data cleanse and legacy system integration issue resolution
* Develop and maintain data migration test plans
* Manage legacy system data cut-over plans
* Ensure data migration acceptance
* Report status
* Management of the development of data staging area and data transformation rules
* Development of data extraction, archiving and deletion strategy and rules
* Test data extracts and uploads
* Review data integrity
* Monitor and co-ordinate data cleanse actions
* Support data cut-over tests
* Report status
* Review legacy system data integrity
* Support data cut-over tests
*Completed at least 2 full SAP implementation lifecycles in Data Migration
*Excellent communication skills
*Able to work within a large team
*Solid analytical and problem solving skills
*Preferably experience in manufacturing and/or utilities SAP projects
*Solid knowledge in one or more of these SAP modules: MM, FI, PP, PM, QM, SD understanding the functional configuration and data requirements on process level.
Technical skills:
*Solid understanding of SAP modules - data object dependencies and how the data is used in business processes ie. Creating a sales order, purchase order, routing,
*Basic understanding of performance tuning code ie. SQL or ABAP or BODS
*Solid understanding of SAP data migration tools ie. IDOC, LSMW, Direct input, BAPI, ABAP
