Our Public Sector client is looking to recruit a Virtualisation and Cloud Specialist with strong skills and experience in server virtualisation and cloud, plus storage and data centre technologies to support the positioning, architecting and implementation of cost effective and flexible IT infrastructure for the organisations customers. The key to this opportunity is to translate business needs into robust and integrated technology solutions and move from a pathfinder project to delivering live services.The ideal candidate would be someone who is open-minded,creative and confident with their ability to work collaboratively with product development teams and to be able to develop and improve workflows and reduce overall time to the production and delivery of live services.The main duties will focus on driving virtualisation and cloud technology architecture strategy and design, and developing transition roadmaps and implementation approaches. The implementation of vCloud Director will be one of the first duties.
Candidates wishing to apply must be able to demonstrate experience in, or provide evidence of,the following skills and qualifications; VMware VCP 4/5, implementing VMware virtualisation, installing and configuring vCenter and ESXi 5.0/5.1, VMware vShield Edge 5.0, vCNS and experience of installing and configuring Linux and windows server.
