Contract AIT EGSE Software EngineerDue to continued success they are now looking for a Contract AIT EGSE Software Engineer to join them immediately based in their Guildford office.
You will be responsible for; Planning, implementation and execution of EGSE related software development and maintenance activities, supporting spacecraft and payload AIT and EVT throughout the mission ground test phase.
Key Purpose of the role; Working as part of the spacecraft mission teams to put spacecraft and payloads through the in house Assembly, Integration & Test process and external environmental test phase.
Key Tasks; Generation and Maintenance of Test Scripts (mainly TCL) to Test requirements and specifications; Development and modification of existing ACR (Automatic Configuration Request) script ; Development and management of TCN Matrix to enable automated test selection, configuration and control; Development of PL equipment fitted list functionality; Development of MIB management database; Development of test cable/coupler calibration database for each flight.; Validation and Verification of SW to my clients Standards; Development, modification and maintenance of the libraries, both Functional Libraries and the plFunctionLib; Management of the plFunctionLib (plFL) interface between the PTS and the SMS; Development of PTS Instrumentation control scripts; Development of test result pass/fail masks and checks in the reporting tool; Incorporate the PTS report tool (traq) into my clients test scripts; Development and maintenance of the test result database; Operating system SW updates, maintenance and control; Assist with test planning and support with possible overseas travel;
To be considered for this role you must possess the following attributes; Requirements of this post are to hold, or have held in the last 5 years, an EU based personal Security clearance and to be a citizen of one of the member states of the European Union or the Schengen association countries; Must have experience of working with Siemens PTS EGSE systems; Experience of working with spacecraft EGSE, flight hardware and integrated system testing; Extensive knowledge and experience with TCL script language; RF test background advantageous; Working with verification / validation of requirements; Good general software, scripting and electrical & electronics background; Good working knowledge of electronic test equipment; Experience of working with navigation and communications payloads
