A global pharma/biotech company in South San Francisco is developing an user interface on top of a CTMS and need to validate the integration. They need a skilled software quality engineer to perform manual test script creation using Quality Center. Understanding of basic validation principals would be a plus.
Develops test requirements and plans for multiple products. Specific responsibilities include:
* Develop automated and manual test procedures based on user needs, system requirements, technical specifications, etc.
* Executes automated and manual test procedures
* Offers suggestions to refine and automate test procedures
* Perform test plan reviews
* Prioritize and schedule testing activities
* Support product development teams and provide need pre-qualification and verification testing
* Support integration of tests into Continuous Integration framework
* Provide knowledge of test equipment set-up, functional operation, and interconnectivity of related equipment.
* Review necessary support documentation and maintain documentation for each test in a neat and organized fashion
Qualifications/Requirements * Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering OR in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 7 years relevant technical work experience
* A minimum of 5 years experience developing automated test cases including experience implementing and/or extending commercial and/or open-source automation tools such as JUnit, Selenium, JMeter, etc.
* Experience testing web services (SOAP/REST; Throughput, Performance under Load, etc.)
* Experience testing solutions in a complex, enterprise integration environment involving external systems that are either directly deployed within the integration environment, or mocked services/systems
* Familiarity or experience with popular development and open source tools for source control, build management, and continuous integration, such as Maven, HP Quality Center, Bamboo, Jenkins, SVN, etc.
* Experience with issue-tracking and agile project management systems such as Jira, GreenHopper, Confluence, Rally, etc.
* Experience working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments
* Experience working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/integration infrastructure
* Demonstrated ability to read and write code in Java.

* Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA.Previous experience in global and/or virtual team
